Amit Gadhavi - Periodontist

Amit is our Gum Specialist at Mortiboys... Qualifying from Kings College London in 1991 Dr Amit Gadhavi has worked in general practice and subsequently gained a place to study for a Masters degree in Periodontics in the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital which is part of University College London.

Having graduated with MSc in 1997, he was invited to join the Department of Periodontics at the Eastman. Here he was able to provide complex periodontal treatment in a consultant led clinic. Amit’s thesis was published in ‘The Archives of Oral Biology’ and he has also had his research presented at the International Association of Dental Research’.

In 2001 he was accepted onto the General Dental Council’s Specialist register in Periodontics. Amit has worked in several well renowned practices over the years. He has had the opportunity to work in both general dentistry as well as his specialist periodontal cases referred to him by other colleagues from various practices.

He has previously spent time mentoring and then working alongside our hygienist Clare Wood for over 20 years. Amit provides care in all aspects of general dentistry as well as specialist periodontal cases.He is also experienced restoring implant cases and works very closely with implant providers.

He believes in a fully preventative approach and is keen on a close and communicative approach to providing comfortable and successful outcomes.

Primarily, Amit is passionate about ensuring that his patients are fully involved in their care and that they are always made aware of the choices available for their treatment.
