Jaw & Bite Screening

Who needs BioPAK screening?

Does your jaw joint click, pop or lock?
Do you suffer from headaches, neck or back problems?
Have you ever had bite splints/mouth guards made for you?
Have you ever suffered trauma to your jaw such as whiplash?
Do you clench or grind your teeth or ever been told you do so?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions then you may be suffering from TMJ (jaw joint) disorder.

A BioPAK jaw screening appointment from our Surrey based dental practice will give us a clear indicator of what further diagnostic tests we will need to carry out and/or what course of treatment you will need.

The programme is also available for other dentists and doctors to refer their patients to us.

It is also very popular with those who take a keen interest and a pro-active approach to their health and want to keep their finger on the pulse of cutting edge dental-medical technology

What is BioPAK screening?

The recommended basic initial screening comprises 3 components;

The Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) which uses sensors placed over your TMJ (jaw joint) whilst you carry out some simple jaw movement tests to track vibrations through your TMJ (jaw joint). This will detect your jaw cracking or popping.

Do you have Headache, Migraines, Back or Neck pain?

It is important that you monitor the health of your TMJ (jaw joint) to detect signs of TMD (jaw joint disorder). TMD can result in headaches, migraines, neck and back pain, tinnitus and excessive wear of your teeth.

We are one of the only 12 BioPAK centres nationwide offering this service!
