At the Mortiboys Dental Spa, Surrey we feel that the alignment of your teeth is important not only from an aesthetic point of view, so that you can feel confident about your smile, but also to ensure pressure on your teeth is evenly distributed minimising the risk of worn and broken teeth and poor oral hygiene. Invisalign technology allows us to help you achieve a perfect smile without the use of wires or brackets. It means that no matter what your age; you can straighten your teeth over a short period of time without anyone even having to know. Invisalign moves your teeth into alignment by wearing a course of removable clear plastic trays (INVISIBLE BRACES) which are custom made for your teeth.
The Invisalign timeline
STEP1 – FREE CONSULTATION with Invisalign Coordinator
You will have the opportunity to discuss the process using examples of previous cases. Photographic records of your current alignment will be made and you will be given estimated costs of treatment. You are under no obligation to continue with treatment after this consultation.
STEP2 – INVISALIGN CLINCHECK
This appointment will be held with Marc and you will have diagnostic impressions taken at a cost of £350. There is still no obligation to continue with treatment after having your CLINCHECK.
STEP3 - CLINCHECK REVIEW
We will show you the projected movement of the alignment of your teeth using specialised computer software which unlike regular orthodontics actually allows you to see the final result before you even start! You will also be given the final cost of your planned treatment at this stage and presented with the different payment options. We can also arrange for quotes for finance if required.
We ask that your final decision is made within 2 months following your CLINCHECK REVIEW as to whether you would like to commit to the treatment
STEP4 – YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ALIGNERS IN A FEW WEEKS
During your next visit to your orthodontist, you will receive your first set aligners. Your orthodontist will most likely give you a few additional sets for you to wear before you return for your next visit.
STEP5 – YOU WEAR YOUR ALIGNERS
You'll wear each set of aligners day and night for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months, but will vary from case to case. You'll visit your orthodontist only about every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
STEP6 – YOU COMPLETE TREATMENT!
Congratulations! When you're finished wearing each aligner in the series, your treatment will be complete and you will have the beautiful smile you've always wanted.
