Marc is the owner and principal dentist of Mortiboys Centre. He is enthusiastic about providing a full spectrum of specialist services in the practice.

Marc has launched Surrey's first Biopak centre and is leading authority in UK Sports Dentistry and computerised biometric jaw analysis. Marc's interests include Orthopaedic Orthodontics to help create healthy balanced smiles and jaw function for both children and adults.

Marc is an experienced Invisalign practitioner and able to offer this to patients in addition to more traditional treatment. He has a holistic approach to restorative dentistry and believes in the use of metal-free dentistry using latest materials, techniques and detoxification programme's to reduce issues of allergy and toxicity and improve cosmetics.

Ellen joined Mortiboys during the fledgling period having been drawn to the holistic approach of the practice. Previously Ellen worked for Marks and Spencers in Product Development for 10 years until starting a family. The opportunity to pursue her passion for alternative therapies arose and she went on to train in Reflexology and Nutrition.

Ellen runs a tight ship here at Mortiboys, and amongst other things, is responsible for juggling several dentists’ diaries (which is a feat in itself!). Ellen is famous for seeing things from a patients’ perspective and frequently reminds the team that not everyone speaks ‘Dentist’!

When not spinning plates on the front desk, Ellen enjoys a good coffee at Costa, before taking a long walk in the countryside. Nicknamed Bree Van de Kamp (Desperate Housewives fans will know this name) for her effortlessly polished domestic prowess, Ellen loves nothing more than entertaining her friends of an evening.

Jon joins us from all the way down under where he qualified almost 20 years ago.

Jon’s serene persona and methodical, informative approach helps even the most nervous patients to take control of and manage their anxiety.
When not in the surgery, Jon can often be found enjoying a long walk with his dog Guapo!

Joanna worked at the Eastman dental hospital in the periodontal department for 4 years prior to her training at Cardiff dental hospital in 1992, her main interests are severe periodontal conditions. Mortiboys Dental Health are extremely pleased to have Joanna as Hygiene director for the last 6 years.

Chloe trained as a dental nurse locally at Brooklands College and has been nursing for 8 years, taking a special interest in implantology, TMJ and orthodontics.

As well as being chair side for the general dentistry here at Mortiboys, Chloe also does BioPAK screening including Joint Vibration Analysis and T-Scan and assists our oral surgeon Fadi Barrak in complex treatments such as implant placements.

Chloe’s sparkling personality and cheerful manner inspire colleagues and patients alike. Outside of work, Chloe likes to party as well as regularly hitting the gym and can often be found shopping till she drops!

Philip is a skilled osteopath with a background in sports massage therapy and personal training.
He is an accomplished athlete with awards in tennis, rally driving, football, table tennis, pool and fencing!

He not surprisingly has a special interest in the treatment of sports injuries and works with local sports clubs both in clinic and pitch side as well as with competitors in the London Marathon and Tour de France.
Philip draws from his sports massage background and classical osteopathy training to provide a very effective and integrated treatment that allows him to treat each person according to their own individual needs. Philip also uses his personal training experience to provide effective exercises programmes that help prevent reoccurrence of pain and injury. He is always contactable by phone or email if his patients need advice.

Julian joined the Mortiboys team in 2010and brings with him a wealth of chiropractic and cranial experience.

Having moved out of London where he still runs a busy practice, Julian met Marc Mortiboys when he was looking for a family dentist and they both soon realised that their work in the TMJ and cranial field should come together.

Julian qualified in chiropractic in1994 and after furthering his knowledge in clinical nutrition, A.K (applied kinesiology), S.O.T (sacro-occipital technique), N.O.T (neurological organisation technique) and Kinesio-taping he has been involved with top level sports people including F1 Racing Drivers, a Wimbledon Tennis Champion and Olympic Athletes and Rowers. He had the enviable task of travelling the world for four years with the Williams F1 team, looking after their drivers and crew at all the races.

Since marrying and starting a family, Julian's interest in the care of babies, children and pregnant mums led him to carry out further post-graduate studies in cranial therapy, paediatrics and pregnancy to expand the breadth of service he happily provides to all ages.

Kim previously worked at British Airways for 10 years in a supervisory role before joining Mortiboys in 2001. Kim’s measured manner and dedication soon saw her taking on the role of Practice Manager and she has seen the practice go from strength to strength attracting patients from all over the country for a wide spectrum of treatments.

Kim enjoys welcoming patients to the practice and her cheerful personality and sense of humour gets even the most nervous patients to smile! Over the years Kim has developed a good knowledge about Dental Health and is very capable of providing some good advice to our patients.

Outside of the practice, Kim runs a busy home, spends quality time with Marc and the children and can sometimes be spotted at a yoga class worshipping the sun!

Dr Fadi Barrak is a specialist in Oral surgery with a background in Maxillofacial Surgery. He is qualified as a Dentist (Bristol University) and as a Doctor (Imperial College School of Medicine, London). Fadi is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England. His main interests are in Minor Oral Surgery, Dental Implantology and he deals with Dentistry under sedation for nervous patients.

David qualified from Guys in 1980 and spent several years in hospital teaching Restorative Dentistry. He then spent the last 6 years in practice mentoring Dentists in Cosmetic Dentistry and Implant Restorative Dentistry.

He is a senior clinician and writes for several journals as well as sitting on the editorial board of Private Dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, David enjoys musical performances from his children and keeping his nutrition in check!

Dr André von Backstrom is a medical doctor who qualified in South Africa in 1988. He has a 2 year diploma in sedation and pain control and was clinical assistant anesthetist at The Royal Berkshire Hospital until 2001. He has been involved in dental anesthesia and sedation since 1991 and has carried out in excess of 50,000 general anesthetics and sedations. He is a founder member of the Society of Conscious Sedation and is one of the most experienced sedationist in dentistry in the Europe. He also holds a four year Advanced Life Support Certificate. He prides himself in providing the most caring and understanding treatment possible to his patients. The sedation makes the patient very sleepy, removes the anxiety and relaxes the patient throughout the treatment. It ensures the patient has a pleasant experience at the dentist.

Charlie started her career in Dental Nursing in 1997 training whilst working in a smiliar way to how an apprenticeship works. With over 10 years of experience, Charlie is well seasoned in the field of Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics having assisted Dentists specialising in Implantology and Periodontology as well as general and restorative dentistry.
 Charlie’s soothing and congenial demeanour make her ideal for putting nervous patients at ease and having a calming influence all around her on the team and patients alike!
When not creating a tranquil atmosphere at work, Charlie can be found looking after her young family, horse riding, reading a book or even rocking out at a Bon Jovi concert!

Marcus is a statutorily registered Osteopath.
He is also a qualified Yoga teacher and has special interest in the therapeutic use of Yoga for problems such as back pain and stress. Marcus teaches group classes, one-to-one and organises Yoga Health Retreat holidays.

Marcus brings a wealth of experience to his practice that includes his time in the corporate environment as a manager for an international news agency and as a consultant delivering 'health and well being' seminars for organisations.

Marcus is currently studying Shiatsu & Naturopathy.

I qualified at the University of the Witwatersand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2OOO with merit awards in General Medicine, General Surgery and Operative Dentistry.

I have always been passionate about dentistry and especially Periodontology and its related disciplines. ln 2OO7, I embarked on formal postgraduate studies, which culminated in an MSc in Clinical Periodontology in 2OlO. I have attended extensive post graduate courses nationally, in Europe, the USA and South Africa and enjoy keeping abreast of contemporary concepts and techniques.

My interests lie particularly in managing advanced periodontal disease, surgical periodontology, regenerative and reparative procedures, periodontal plastic surgery and the treatment of
gingival recession.

I also provide clinical crown lengthening procedures for aesthetic and restorative procedures. I have been involved in restorative implant dentistry since 2OO2 having been trained on the Branemark, Straumann, Southem, Astra and Biohorizons implant systems. I have been involved with surgical implant procedures since 2OO8.

Gustavo have been in Dentistry for over 3 years. After qualifying as a Dental Nurse he felt there was more he could do and started a career as an Assessor for City & Guilds, teaching and assessing student nurses working toward their qualification, ensuring they are complying with all the specific and strict Dental Legislation/Regulations in the UK.

Because of his extensive administrative experience he invested more time learning many aspects in the dental field and has been since 2008 a Practice Manager.

Passionate about Dentistry, Gustavo has a strong clinical knowledge and practical admin experience; combining both fields you will find in Gustavo a very talented, skilful and determined person. Gustavo has strong PR abilities, very polite, reliable, honest and trustworthy and this sets him in a high standard of care quality.

Despite his very busy schedule juggling between 2 practices and teaching at the college, Gustavo finds free time to play with high-tech gadgets, do some DIY at home and spending quality time with his young family having fun!

Rebecca Wilkinson qualified at Guys Hospital, London in 1989 with honours in Dental Surgery. Vastly experienced in general dental practice, Rebecca previously ran her own busy private practice in Horsham until choosing to sell her practice in order to devote more time to her young family.

In 2007, Rebecca joined the Mortiboys team and has been delivering outstanding dental care ever since. Rebecca’s bright and positive demeanour is a delight to be around for colleagues and patients alike.

Apart from first class dentistry, Rebecca’s passion is her children and family, before the arrival of which she was rumoured to have enjoyed a spot of adventure travel and skiing!

Lindsey began her career in dentistry by nursing in 2007. Drawn towards periodontology, Lindsey decided to train as a hygienist at King’s College London qualifying in 2005 and went on to work for a successful corporate dental company before joining Mortiboys in 2008. Lindsey works hard to build a trusting relationship with her patients and maintains hygiene programmes tailored to each individual.

Lindsey’s gentle style and serene persona make her ideal for putting nervous patients at ease as well as providing a calming influence within the practice! Her passion for natural health and nutrition, which she studies, proves to be very useful when advising patients of the effects of their diet on their dental health.

Outside working hours, Lindsey can often be found brushing up on her Italian, working out with her personal trainer or soaking up some culture at the theatre.

Ann Davies was born and brought up in Surrey. She trained as an Occupational Therapist in Oxford and went on to work at Guys hospital for two years. She also worked in hospitals in Epsom, Surrey and then at RAF Headley Court Rehabilitation Unit for Servicemen, where she was Head Occupational Therapist.

After having her three children, she worked part time but developed post natal depression on two occasions, lasting a total of 6 years. She also suffered with chronic fatigue syndrome for many years. This drove her, unknowingly at the time, to develop her career further by study and experiencing alternative medicine.

She trained in massage, reflexology, reiki and EFT emotional freedom technique. She is passionate about her work and helping others to heal physical and emotional pain. Because of her own experiences, her sensitivity and intuition, she can empathise with clients, helping them to feel safe and relaxed, and thus aiding the healing process. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, country walks, dancing  and writing.

Evelyn is an experienced and qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a private practice in East Horsley. She sees people of all ages, individually and as couples and her work with them covers a wide variety of problems.

Counselling and Psychotherapy offer ways of exploring a more positive approach to thinking and behaving that suits you and how you want to live. It can help you decide what is working for you and what is not.

Our relationship with others and ourselves is what adds colour and meaning to our lives. Therapy offers a safe and confidential environment where you can talk about your problems and feelings with a professional who is empathic and objective.

Evelyn is an integrative therapist, which means she is trained in more than one approach. She feels that this enables her to offer her clients the therapy that will suit them and their particular problems. For example she can use her Hypnotherapy training for helping people with fears, phobias or just general relaxation and CBT and NLP for a more focused way of changing behaviours that are no longer helpful.

Her training and involvement with Cruse Bereavement Care is something that is close to her heart. Evelyn has lived and worked in the local area for the last 33 years. She is always happy to talk to people about what she does and how she may be able to help them.

Anna qualified at the Eastman Dental Hospital in 2001. Anna has been helping patients in private practices around Surrey for the last 10 years. Anna's charming and easy-going manner will put even the most nervous patient at ease.

Outside work, Anna enjoys to swimming, tennis and spending time with family and friends. Since marrying and starting a family, Julian's interest in the care of babies, children and pregnant mums led him to carry out further post-graduate studies in cranial therapy, paediatrics and pregnancy to expand the breadth of service he happily provides to all ages.
